Hidden Ohio

Julie Rubini tells all that she learned about the great state of Ohio!
As a mother, Julie has shared her passions for reading, writing and traveling with her three children, who embraced them as well. Devastated by the death of their oldest daughter, Claire, in July, 2000, Julie and her husband Brad founded Claire’s Day, a free children’s book festival in her honor. The 10th annual event will be held at the Maumee Library on Saturday, May 21, 2011. Julie was commissioned to write Hidden Ohio by Anne Margaret Lewis, owner of Mackinac Island Press upon meeting at Claire’s Day. This past year has been a thrill for Julie as she has visited many schools, sharing her journey, the “story behind the story” and all that she learned about our great state of Ohio with students. Julie is actively writing with the hopes of having other stories published!
