| Chris Holbrook is a graduate of the Iowa Writer's Workshop. His first book, Hell and Ohio: Stories of the Appalachian South, was published by Gnomon Press in 1995 and won the Thomas and Lillie D. Chaffin Award for Appalachian Writing. He is Associate Professor at Morehead State University and Coordinator of the Bachelor's of Fine Arts program in creative writing at MSU. |
