Geoff Williams is a freelance journalist and author. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including U.S. News & World Report, where he has been a regular contributor since 2013, as well as AARP, CNNMoney, CNET, HuffPost, The Washington Post, Newsweek and National Geographic Kids. He has written several books, including "Washed Away" and "The Summer of Death." Williams was born in Columbus, Ohio, and grew up in Middletown. He has two daughters and is a recent empty nester who lives in Loveland.
