Margaret Peterson Haddix is the New York Times-bestselling author of more than 50 books for kids and teens. Her books have been published in more than 20 countries and honored with the Edgar Award and numerous state reader’s choice awards. Haddix grew up near Washington Court House and graduated from Miami University. She worked as a newspaper reporter in Indianapolis before her first book was published in 1995. She and her husband now live in Columbus, where they raised their children.
