Steven J. Rolfes has been a writer for many years, having had numerous articles in print and eight books published. He was born on July 21, 1952, the same day that flying saucers were reported over the White House. In 1975 he graduated from the University of Cincinnati. He has written extensively on Cincinnati history, including books on the 1884 Courthouse Riot and the devastating 1937 flood. He is now concentrating on the supernatural, his earlier book on the strange traditions in the state of Ohio. The most recent book is on banshees and other messengers of death.
