Carlotta Penn
Carlotta Penn has loved writing since she was a young girl. At age 8 she wrote in her diary, “I love to write books. I am an author.” Now all grown up, that dream has been realized. Penn is the founder of Daydreamers Press, a children's book publisher and creative consulting agency with a vision for “Inspiring and diverse reflections of joy, justice, and love" in children's literature. Her picture books include Bright Boy ABCs, the The Turtle With an Afro series, and the recently released Step by Step! How the Lincoln School Marchers Blazed a Trail to Justice (coauthored with Debbie Rigaud).
