Phyllis Dixon

Phyllis R. Dixon is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has lived in Minneapolis, Houston, Pine Bluff, Arkansas and now resides in Memphis, TN. She has worked for the U.S. Treasury Department as a National Bank Examiner and owned a bookstore. She has contributed to Chicken Soup for the African American Woman's Soul and is the author of the novels, Forty Acres, Down Home Blues and Intermission. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and works with nonprofits. When not reading or writing, she enjoys classic movies, old school R&B and chocolate.
