A veteran Cincinnati journalist, author and tour guide, Rick Pender has covered and promoted local events and arts since 1980. His features and reviews appear regularly in CityBeat, the city’s newsweekly (citybeat.com), and Cincinnati Magazine. He writes regularly for Talkin' Broadway. Rick is the author of Oldest Cincinnati and co-author of The Cincinnati Bengals: An Illustrated Timeline. He was the founding general manager of WNKU-FM at Northern Kentucky University. A graduate of Oberlin College, he earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in English literature from Case Western Reserve University.
