Chris Bachelder's most recent novel, written collaboratively with Jennifer Habel, is DAYSWORK (Norton, 2023). He is the author of four previous books, including ABBOTT AWAITS and THE THROWBACK SPECIAL, which was a finalist for the National Book Award. He teaches writing at the University of Cincinnati.

Jennifer Habel is co-author of the novel DAYSWORK (Norton, 2023). She is also the author of two poetry collections: THE BOOK OF JANE, winner of the Iowa Poetry Prize, and GOOD REASON, winner of the Stevens Poetry Manuscript Competition. The recipient of three Individual Excellence Awards from the Ohio Arts Council, she is the coordinator of creative writing at the University of Cincinnati.
